T.O.E.I.C.

The T.O.E.I.C. (Test Of English for International Communication) evaluates skills in Business English. It is a standard assessment tool that measures and certifies non-English speakers’ abilities to communicate in English in professional and international situations.

The T.O.E.I.C. is a written and listening based test with a multiple-choice format. The questions focus on professional situations such as meetings, conversations, travelling etc. The test lasts 3 hours and has two sections:

-          Section 1: listening comprehension

Testees listen to a set of questions and short conversations in English, then answer questions about what they have heard.

-          Section 2: written comprehension

Testees read a set of documents and answer questions about contents.

I.L.S. is a certified T.O.E.I.C. testing centre: the test takes place on the premises of  I.L.S. in Clermont Ferrand. Tests are supervised by approved language trainers on our staff who are qualified to invigilate the T.O.E.I.C.
